The Advanced II class will meet on Saturdays, covering the grammar in Greek Beyond GCSE by John Taylor. The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.
You should already be familiar with the active, passive and middle voice in the present, future, imperfect, aorist, perfect and imperfect tenses; the use of the subjunctive and optative moods; contract verbs, and conditional sentences.
In this 12 week term we will expect to cover the following: -μι verbs; verbs with dependent participle; verbs of fearing, precaution and prevention; the accusative absolute construction; complex relative clauses; the articular infinitive (gerund); the verbal adjective (gerundive); dual forms and third person imperatives. Students will read passages appropriate to their current level of grammar, as well as some unadapted texts.
