The Advanced II class will meet on Saturdays from 14:30-15:30, covering the grammar in Greek Beyond GCSE by John Taylor. The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with the active, passive and middle voice in the present, future, imperfect, aorist, perfect and imperfect tenses; the use of the subjunctive and optative moods; contract verbs, and conditional sentences.

In this 11 week term we will expect to cover the following: -μι verbs; verbs with dependent participle; verbs of fearing, precaution and prevention; the accusative absolute construction; complex relative clauses; the articular infinitive (gerund); the verbal adjective (gerundive); dual forms and third person imperatives. Students will read passages appropriate to their current level of grammar, as well as some unadapted texts.

Dates for the winter term are 15th, 22nd, 29th January, 5th, 12th February (NB no class on 19th February), 26th February, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March, and 2nd April.

Fees are £77 for the term (11 weeks). Time: 14:30-15:30. Tutor: Wendy Smith.
