This class is for those with a rudimentary knowledge of Classical Greek or who have completed the Beginners course.
Meeting on Saturdays, at 13:00-14:00 (UK time), this class continues with the basics of Classical Greek grammar using Greek to GCSE book 1. The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson. Students should have access to Greek to GCSE book 1 by John Taylor (contact me if you have difficulty sourcing this).
In this 11 week term, the class will expect to cover chapters 3-5 of Greek to GCSE book 1. This includes the following grammar: imperfect and future tense; first and second aorist; second declension feminine nouns; first declension masculine nouns and mixed variant; compound verbs; third declension nouns; interrogative and indefinite pronouns and adjectives; personal pronouns and adjectives, and present participles in the active voice.
Dates for the winter term are 15th, 22nd, 29th January, 5th, 12th February (NB no class on 19th February), 26th February, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March, and 2nd April.
