Description
This class will meet on Saturdays from 11:30-12:30 (UK/Ireland local time), continuing with Greek to GCSE book 2, both by John Taylor. The class is conducted via Zoom. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.
You should already be familiar with all noun declensions, and the active, passive and middle voice in the present, future, imperfect and aorist tenses.
In this 10 week term we will expect to cover the following: verbs, nouns and adjectives with epsilon contraction, imperatives and infinitives in the aorist tense, and indirect statements.
Students will continue to learn about the Classical Greek world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar, as well as some unadapted texts.
Dates for the autumn term are 10th September, 17th September, 1st October, 8th October, 15th October, 22nd October, 5th November, 12th November, 19th November, and 26th November 2022. NB there are no classes on 24th September and 29th October.
Fees are £70 for the term. Tutor: Christopher Lillington-Martin.
