Description
This class is for complete beginners and starts with the alphabet. Commencing on 15th January 2024, the class will meet every Monday at 19:00-20:00 (GMT+1). The class is conducted via Zoom.
Students should have access to Greek to GCSE book 1 by John Taylor. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.
In this 10 week term, you will learn the Greek alphabet and the class will expect to cover the following grammar: present tense indicative, imperative and infinitive; first declension eta and alpha variants; second declension masculine and neuter forms; the definite article; prepositions, εἰμί present tense; the genitive sandwich construction; adjectives and adverbs, and the future and imperfect tenses.
Dates for the summer term are 8th April, 15th April, 22nd April, 29th April, 6th May, 13th May, 20th May, no classes on 27th May or 3rd June, 10th June, 17th June, and 24th June.
