This course is for those who have completed Beginners and Post-Beginners courses, or already have some knowledge of Latin.

Course duration: 10 weeks, on Saturdays at 13:00-14:00 (GMT+1) from 23rd April 2022.

Meeting on Saturdays, 13:00-14:00 (GMT+1), this class continues with the basics of Latin grammar using Latin to GCSE book 1. The class is conducted via Zoom. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with: present, imperfect and perfect verb tenses in the Active voice; all verb conjugations; first, second and third declension nouns; personal and possessive pronouns.

In this 10 week term, the class will expect to cover the Future and Pluperfect tenses, third declension adjectives, relative pronouns and interrogative pronouns. Throughout the course, students will continue to learn about the Roman world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar.

Dates for the summer term are 23rd April, 30th April, 7th May, 14th May, 21st May, 28th May, 4th June, 11th June, 18th June, and 25th June.

Fees are £70 for the term (10 weeks). Tutor: Dr Joanne Brown.
