This course is for those who have completed Beginners and Post-Beginners courses, or already have some knowledge of Latin.

Course duration: 11 weeks, on Saturdays at 13:00-14:00 (UK time) from 15th January 2022.

Meeting on Saturdays, 13:00-14:00 (UTC, UK time), this class continues with the basics of Latin grammar using Latin to GCSE book 2. The class is conducted via Zoom. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with: all tenses in the Active voice; all verb conjugations; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd declension nouns and adjectives; personal and relative pronouns.

In this 11 week term, the class will expect to cover comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs; the Passive voice in all tenses; participles; the Ablative Absolute; ‘If’ clauses, and the passive voice. Throughout the course, students will continue to learn about the Roman world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar.

Dates for the winter term are 15th, 22nd, 29th January, 5th, 12th February (NB no class on 19th February), 26th February, 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March, and 2nd April.
