Description

This class is aimed at those who already have a good understanding of Latin grammar. Students will read unadapted Latin texts with explanations of aspects of Latin grammar as they arise. The course is conducted via Zoom and will meet at the new time of Mondays at 19:00-20:00 (GMT+1). The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

In the summer term, students will read extracts from the letters of Seneca. There is a freely available edition with commentary on Geoffrey Steadman’s website.

Dates for the summer term are 8th April, 15th April, 22nd April, 29th April, no class on 6th May, 13th May, 20th May, no class on 27th May, 3rd June, 10th June, 17th June, and 24th June 2024.
