Description

This class will meet on Saturdays from 10th January 2025  from 14:30-15:30 (GMT) using Latin to GCSE book 2. The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with: indicative verbs in the active and passive voice; active and passive participles; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd declension nouns and adjectives; personal pronouns; relative clauses, and comparatives and superlative adjectives.

In this 10 week term, the class will expect to cover the perfect and pluperfect passive, conditional sentences, the ablative absolute, imperatives and direct questions.

Throughout the course, students will continue to learn about the Roman world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar.

Dates for the spring term: Saturday 10th January, 17th January, 24th January, 31st January, 7th February, mid-term break 14th February, 21st February, 28th February, 7th March, 14th March, and 21st March 2026.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.

Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
