I am happy to confirm that a course reading Homer’s Odyssey (in English translation) will begin in Belfast on 16th March. Students may read any translation they prefer and indeed a variety of translations is welcomed for discussion. The course will run for six weeks (requiring independent reading of four books of the Odyssey per week)  In class we will discuss what we liked, didn’t like, the mythology behind the story, and anything else that comes up!

We will meet in the church hall at University Road Moravian Church, 1a University Road, Belfast BT7 1NA (opposite the Crescent Arts Centre) on Mondays at 4pm until approximately 5.15pm (dates below). Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided.

The course fee is £60 and this can be paid by PayPal, cheque or bank transfer (contact me for account details). To register send me an email (helen@helenmcveigh.co.uk) or a text (07876758653). Payment is required by Monday 9th March.

Please note that due to the availability of the hall, classes do not run every week.
