Description
This class is for complete beginners and starts with the alphabet. Commencing on 26th April 2025, the class will meet every Saturday at 15:30-16:30 (GMT+1). The class is conducted via Zoom.
Students should have access to Greek to GCSE book 1 by John Taylor. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.
In this 9 week term, you will learn the Greek alphabet and the class will expect to cover the following grammar: present tense indicative, imperative and infinitive; first declension eta and alpha variants; second declension masculine and neuter forms; the definite article; prepositions, εἰμί present tense; the genitive sandwich construction, adjectives and adverbs.
Dates for the summer term: Saturday 26th April, 3rd May, 10th May, 17th May, 24th May, 31st May, 7th June, 14th June, and 21st June 2025.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.
Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
