Description

This intensive Latin course meets every Wednesday, at 19:00-21:00 (GMT+1). The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 2-3 hours of independent study between each lesson.

Students should have access to Latin to GCSE book 2, by Henry Cullen and John Taylor.

Participants should already be familiar with the present, imperfect, future, perfect and pluperfect tenses; first, second and third declension nouns and adjectives in all cases.

In the summer term, the class will continue with the following grammar: comparative and superlative adjectives, the passive voice, participles. Students will also begin reading Virgil Aeneid book 1.12-123; this is one of the GCSE verse literature texts for examination in 2026.

Dates for the spring term: Wednesday 30th April, 7th May, 14th May, 21st May, 28th May, 4th June, 11th June, 18th June, and 25th June 2025.

Tutor: Alexis Prescott.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.

Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
