Description

This advanced Classical Greek class will meet on Sundays from 17.00-18.00 (BST), using Greek Beyond GCSE by John Taylor. The class is conducted via Zoom. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with grammar from the GCSE syllabus: all noun declensions, the active, passive and middle voice in the present, future, imperfect and aorist tenses, contract verbs, indirect statements,  uses of the subjunctive and optative moods, and the perfect tense.

In this 8 week term participants will finish chapter 4 of the textbook and read a selection of unadapted Greek texts. 

Dates for the summer term are Sunday 26th April, 3rd May, 17th May, 31st May, 7th June, 21st June, 28th June and 5th July. No classes on 10th May, 24th May, 14th June.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.

Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
