Description
This class is for complete beginners and starts with the alphabet. Commencing on Saturday 18th April 2026, the class will meet every week at 14:00-15:00 (BST). The class is conducted via Zoom.
Students should have access to Greek to GCSE book 1 by John Taylor. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.
In this 10 week term, you will learn the Greek alphabet and the class will expect to cover the following grammar: present tense indicative, imperative and infinitive; first declension eta and alpha variants; second declension masculine and neuter forms; the definite article; prepositions, εἰμί present tense; the genitive sandwich construction, adjectives and adverbs.
Dates for the summer term: Saturday 18th April, 25th April, 2nd May, 9th May, 16th May, mid-term break 23rd May, 30th May, 6th June, 13th June, 20th June, and 27th June 2026.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.
Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
