Description
This class is aimed at those who already have a good understanding of ancient Greek grammar. Students will read unadapted Classical Greek texts with the tutor providing explanations of aspects of Greek grammar as they arise. The class is conducted via Zoom and meets on Saturdays from 13:00-14:00 (GMT+1/UK local time). Approximately 1-2 hours of independent study is required between each lesson.
In the summer term, the group will read Euripides Helen. We recommend the Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics edition with commentary, edited by William Allan (2008), ISBN 978-0521545419.
Dates for the summer term are 13th April, 20th April, 27th April, 4th May, 11th May, no class on 18th May, 25th May, 1st June, 8th June, 15th June, and 22nd June 2024.
