Description

This advanced Classical Greek class will meet on Saturdays from 13.00-14.00 (BST), using Greek Beyond GCSE by John Taylor. The class is conducted via Zoom. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with grammar from the GCSE syllabus: all noun declensions, the active, passive and middle voice in the present, future, imperfect and aorist tenses, contract verbs, indirect statements, uses of the subjunctive and optative moods, and the perfect tense.

In this 8 week term we will cover grammar from chapter 4 of the textbook and read a selection of unadapted texts.

Dates for the summer term are Saturday 25th April, 2nd May, 9th May, 16th May, mid-term break 23rd May, 30th May, 6th June, 13th June, and 20th June 2026.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.

Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
