Students will continue to learn Greek grammar. This term we will hope to cover the middle voice, deponent verbs, the passive voice in the future and aorist tenses, the genitive absolute construction.

Description

This class will meet online, on Saturdays at 14:30 (BST), continuing with Greek to GCSE book 2, by John Taylor. The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with all noun declensions, and the active, middle and passive voice in the present, and imperfect tenses.

In this 8 week term we will expect to cover the middle voice, deponent verbs, the passive voice in the future and aorist tenses, the genitive absolute construction, and reflexive pronouns.

Students will continue to learn about the Classical Greek world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar.

Dates for the summer term are Saturday 25th April, 2nd May, 9th May, 16th May, mid-term break 23rd May, 30th May, 6th June, 13th June, and 20th June 2026.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.

Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
