Description

Meeting on Saturdays from 20th September 2025 at 14:30 (UK/Ireland time), this class will continue with the basics of Latin grammar using Latin to GCSE book 1. The class is conducted via Zoom. The class will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with present, imperfect and perfect verb tenses in the Active voice; all verb conjugations, and first, second and third declension nouns.

In this 10 week term, the class will expect to cover personal pronouns and possessive adjectives, the future tense, adverbs, third declension adjectives, and the pluperfect tense. Throughout the course, students will continue to learn about the Roman world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar.

Dates for the autumn term: Saturday 20th September, 27th September, 4th October, 11th October, 18th October, 25th October, (mid-term break 1st November), 8th November, 15th November, 22nd November, and 29th November 2025.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.

Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
