Description
This class is aimed at those who already have a good understanding of ancient Greek grammar. Students will read unadapted Classical Greek texts with the tutor providing explanations of aspects of Greek grammar as they arise. The class is conducted via Zoom and meets on Saturdays from 13:00-14:00 (UK local time). Approximately 1-2 hours of independent study is required between each lesson.
In the spring term, the group will read book 1 of Thucydides’ History of the Peloponnesian War. We suggest the E.C. Marchant edition with introduction by Thomas Wiedemann (1991, Bristol Classical Press), ISBN 9780862920272.
Dates for the spring term: Saturday 11th January, 18th January, 25th January, 1st February, 8th February (no classes on 15th February, 22nd February, 1st March), 8th March, 15th March, 22nd March, 29th March and 5th April.

The class will proceed subject to a minimum number of enrolments.
Cancellation policy: students will receive a full refund if the student cancels their registration more than two weeks before the class begins. Students will receive 50% refund if the student cancels their registration 8-14 days before the class begins.
