Description

This class will meet on Saturdays from 13th April 2024 from 14:15-15:15 (GMT+1) using Latin to GCSE book 2. The class is conducted via Zoom and will require approximately 1-2 hours of independent study between each lesson.

You should already be familiar with: indicative verbs in the active and passive voice; active and passive participles; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd declension nouns and adjectives; personal pronouns; relative clauses, and comparatives and superlative adjectives.

In this 10 week term, the class will expect to cover conditional sentences, the ablative absolute, imperatives and direct questions.

Throughout the course, students will continue to learn about the Roman world through translation of various passages adapted to their current level of grammar.

Dates for the summer term are 13th April, 20th April, 27th April, 4th May, 11th May, no class on 18th May, 25th May, 1st June, 8th June, 15th June, and 22nd June 2024.
